About Dash Curve

Enterprise experience. Local accountability.

Dash Curve is a founder-led IT consultancy for organisations that value technical competence, direct communication and systems built to last.

Meet the founder

Hi, I’m Shanan.

I have spent close to 20 years in IT support, cloud systems and customer service. My background includes Telstra, Xero, Deloitte, Victorian government and Symal, alongside six years running an IT business for smaller organisations.

That range shaped Dash Curve: bring sound planning, security and documentation to smaller organisations without unnecessary layers. I keep a Microsoft 365 tenant and Proxmox lab for learning and testing; outside work, you will usually find me mountain biking or ocean swimming.

What the work is measured by

Six principles you can hold Dash Curve to.

Not slogans—practical standards for how advice is given, work is delivered and relationships are maintained.

01

Straightforward advice

Plain English, honest recommendations and clear quotes. If something is not needed, that should be said.

02

Technical competence

Solutions based on current practice and the context of the environment—not a quick fix with hidden consequences.

03

Accountability

Own the issue, follow through and record what changed so the result is useful beyond the day of delivery.

04

Long-term thinking

Make choices that remain understandable, supportable and appropriate as the business changes.

05

No unnecessary complexity

The simplest design that meets the real requirement is usually the stronger one.

06

Technology that fits

Systems should support the way the business works, not force the business to work around them.

The practical difference

Not a call-centre relationship.

Working with Dash Curve should feel like having a capable IT person on the team: someone who knows the environment, explains the trade-offs and takes responsibility for moving the work forward.

01

A person, not a ticket number

Context is retained and the problem has an owner.

02

Plain English, not theatre

Technical detail is available, but the business consequence comes first.

03

Scope before surprises

Expect practical questions and a clear quote before planned work starts.

04

Documented, not dependent

The goal is a clearer environment—not one only a single person can understand.

Experience & ecosystems

Hands-on capability, with relationship labels kept clear.

Dash Curve recommends technology to suit the environment. Certification, supply channels and hands-on platform experience are labelled separately so a brand name never implies an affiliation or an automatic recommendation.
